Abrasive Blasting

Abrasive blasting is a quick and effective method of surface preparation. A stream of abrasive material is propelled against a surface at high speed. The result is a clean surface that gives a strong foundation for the painting process and a long, economical coating life. 

Because abrasive blasting is especially effective in cleaning metals, it is commonly used to remove rust, paint, scale and other contaminants. The uniform etch is actually more effective in coating adhesion than a smooth surface. Surface preparation can also be achieved on parts that are not uniform in shape.
